Aluminum Pivot Door – The Architectural Statement Entrance
An aluminum pivot door is a bold architectural statement featuring a central pivot axis that handles ultra-wide, floor-to-ceiling panels that a conventional hinged door simply cannot support. Instead of swinging from side hinges, the door rotates on pivot points set into the floor and head frame — distributing the panel weight vertically through the pivot axis rather than horizontally through the frame. This allows SKATE's pivot doors to reach widths of 1.5–2.5 meters and heights of up to 3 meters while opening with fingertip effort.
SKATE's pivot doors are built with reinforced 2.2–3.0 mm aluminum profiles and adjustable heavy-duty pivot hardware rated for panels of several hundred kilograms. Hydraulic self-closing pivot systems with adjustable hold-open positions are available for commercial applications.
Surface Finishes: All RAL powder coat colours, PVDF, anodised, and wood grain transfer finishes. Solid panel, glazed, or mixed-material (aluminum + wood veneer) designs available.
